Facilities Management Certificate Hybrid Program
Through the University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies and delivered in a hybrid, accelerated format over 12 weeks, this course focuses on the full spectrum of roles and responsibilities of a facilities manager.
This course will cover:
Basic concepts of leadership and change management
Using effective communication, negotiation, team work, and conflict resolution
Key business processes
Real property assets and technological and knowledge resources
How to manage risks and security, ensure business continuity and use technology in ways that are sustainable and smart
Legal issues and regulatory issues that affect the built environment
Other key topics include budgeting, capital planning, energy management and bench marking. Acquire fundamental tools of strategic planning, financial and project management, operations and maintenance, and accommodation planning. You will be able to maximize the use of data and information management.
